Digit-al Dozen: Stamping Over Black To Nude Gradient

Greetings and Nailutations,

Today is the last day for the February Digit-al Dozen week using the prompt of black.  I decided to go for actual bare nails!  So risqué!  Ooh la la!  Since I'm not the biggest fan of visible nail line (VNL) I decided to make the bare nail part towards my cuticle.

Now let's get to the details!

Products used:
Drip Drop Nail Paint - Yoga Pants
Heather's Hues - Top That Top Coat, Heart of the Matter
It Girl Nail Art - IG103 Plate (press sample)
Ellagee Polish - Lickity Split Latex Mani Mask (press sample)
Clear Jelly Stamper - stamper, clean up brush (press samples)

I started with a clear base coat.  After it dried I used a make up sponge to create a gradient between Yoga Pants and Top That Top Coat.  After it dried I added Heart of the Matter and stamped over it with Yoga Pants.

I really liked how this ended up.  I believe this is the first time I've done a mani with some bare nail showing!  Thanks for viewing!  Check out the manis below too!

Happy Polishing,
Kristi aka BeginNails

  1. I never would have thought to do a gradient over my naked nail like that but I like it! I like the stamping too. It's like an illusion!

  5. This manicure is really kind of a tease. It's classy and a little naughty seeming at the same time.
